Symantec Launches Two New Backup Appliances For Large Enterprises And SMB's

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 10 (Bernama) -- Symantec Corp launched on Wednesday two new updates to its backup appliances, the NetBackup 5220 and Backup Exec 3600.

The updates will deliver better backup and protect information, completely across virtual and physical systems, for large enterprises and small medium-sized business (SMBs)in Malaysia.

Alex Ong,Country Director of Symantec Malaysia said the NetBackup 5220 is suitable for large enterprises and the Backup Exec 3600, for all SMBs.

"We have received a positive response for both new appliances since its soft launch last month.

"We believe Symantec's position in Malaysia has been strenghtened after the launch of the NetBackup 5220 and Backup Exec 3600 appliances which will provide a modern approach to backups for large enterprises and SMBs," he said at the product official launch here.
