Entrepreneurs Urged To Take On Ayamazz Franchise Business

ALOR SETAR, Jan 14 (Bernama) -- Jati Bestari Sdn Bhd (Jati Bestari), which has been appointed by Ayamazz Sdn Bhd to help expand the latter's Ayamazz Frank Buns franchise business, is urging local entrepreneurs to take up the opportunity to do the franchise business.

Ayamazz, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of KFC Holdings (Malaysia) Bhd, has identified 400 strategic locations nationwide where the business could be developed.

Chief Executive Officer of Jati Bestari, Uzir Abdul Samad said the capital required to open up a kiosk for the franchise business ranged between RM40,000 and RM118,000, while its returns would be rewarding for the entrepreneur who takes up the commitment for the business.

"We are confident of the high potential this business offers as the locations identified are strategic for the business while the product pricing is competitive and of quality. We are nevertheless aware that there will always be competition in an open market.

"We will guide and monitor our frachisors so that they will stay close to the objectives," he told Bernama following a briefing here today for 30 businessmen from the Kuala Kedah Parliamentary constituency here today.

Uzir said the snack, based on a grab-and-go concept and comprising steamed buns filled with frankfurters and toppings, was introduced in the market about a year ago and had been receiving good response from the people since.

Within the one year period, 25 Ayamazz Roti Impit or Ayamazz Frank Buns outlets had been opened with locations in LCCT, Central Market, Pudu Central, Carrefour, Wangsa Maju, Metro Kajang Prima and Aman Jaya Mall in Sungai Petani.

Jati Bestari also had successfully set up 52 mobile kiosks which have been operating in college campuses and universities nationwide to assist graduates become entrepreneurs.

Uzir said the company was confident that demand for the fast food would continue to rise with further promotion in the media.

He added that there were also plans to aggressively explore the open market this year, with the target of opening over 150 new branches across the country, including in Sabah and Sarawak.

Uzir said besides the buns, there were also other items offered on the Ayamazz menu including flavoured beverages like chocolate, cappuccino, strawberry, and honeydew.
