Country Head Sajith Sivanandan said most SMEs wanting to set up online
businesses lacked time, resources and expertise to get started.
This programme was designed to help them transform their bussiness with
digital marketing by fostering a network of AdWords premier partners,
providing them specialised services.
"This would be very helpful for the 100,000 SMEs, which have websites,
out of the 700,000 SMEs in Malaysia, he said, adding that of the 100,000
SMEs with websites, only a small fraction of them advertise their
business.
Google Malaysia's three partners -- Yellow Pages by TM Info-Media
(TMIM) Sdn Bhd, PanPages by CBSA Online and Active Media -- can grow
SMEs' business by connecting small businesses in Malaysia with their
customers online.
