Avinash Lotke, Symantec Corp's director of strategic sales, Asia-Pacific
and Japan, said SMBs were a key part of the supply chain in the
business environment today, handling valuable information and regularly
process important customer data.
"While the SMBs ranked data loss and cyber attacks as top business
risks, they are still facing challenges in securing their businesses as
buying, deploying and managing security systems are becoming
increasingly complicated," he said at the launch of Endpoint Protection
Small Business Edition 2013 software for SMBs here Thursday.
Philip Routley, Symantec's head of SMB product marketing for
Asia-Pacific and Japan, said this product would enable SMBs to quickly
and easily protect information by eliminating complexity in their
environment.
In a statement, Symantec said the cloud-managed service and traditional
on-premise management in a single product will give SBMs the freedom to
move easily to the cloud when they were ready without adding complexity
to their environment.
