KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 1 (Bernama) -- Halal Fiesta Malaysia (Halfest) aims
for an increase of 30,000 visitors at next year's event from the 70,000
in 2012. The 2013 event will be held over five days from Oct 2.

Mohd Shukri Abdullah, the Chief Executive Officer of Shapers Malaysia,
the organiser of the event, said the company will add more booths to
attract visitors to the event to be held at the Putra World Trade
Centre.
He said Halfest 2012 had about 711 booths from the 637 last year.
"Halfest, together with Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), will select 20
booths to join the Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS)," he
added.
MIHAS is an annual trade fair designed to bring together products and services that are halal-compliant from around the world.
MARA Director (Entrepreneur), Yahya Ibrahim said the selected booths or
companies must be ready at anytime to export their products while
ensuring quality.
Meanwhile, Halfest, along with its strategic partners, MARA and CIMB
Islamic celebrated 55 iPad winners, who were visitors to the Halfest
2012.
Also receiving prizes were winners of the "Cabaran Dapur Cilik" and
"Ratu Resipi Malaysia". Both events were also held to commemorate
Halfest.
