KUALA LUMPUR, June 25 (Bernama) -- More than 400 supermarkets nationwide
are participating in the SME Week 2013, which showcases the best of
Malaysia's small and medium enterprise products, Chief Executive Officer
of SME Corp Malaysia, Datuk Hafsah Hashim said.

She said among the participating supermarkets are Mydin, Aeon, Tesco, Giant, Aeon Big, The Store and KK Mart.
The SME Week is an annual event held nationwide in the fourth week of
June each year. All related ministries and agencies align their SME
programmes and activities throughout the week in support of the
campaign.
"This year, SME Week 2013 will incorporate an interesting
cross-section of events ranging from open days, pocket talks, an
information fiesta, business advisory services, product demos,
exhibitions, promotions on Shariah fund to the Pasar Tani Mega," Hafsah
said during the launch of the SME Week 2013 here, today.
Themed "Small Businesses, Big Ideas", the event was officiated by the
Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry, Datuk Hamim Samuri.
Hafsah said the campaign aims to draw SMEs to participate and benefit
from the available business assistance, support and business advisory
services, in helping them to establish and grow their businesses into
affluent enterprises.
SME Week 2013 also provides a platform for promoting awareness of SME
products and services, showcasing its products and services,
dissemination of information on SMEs and fostering the culture of
entrepreneurship.
