He was grateful to ACCCIM for helping to drive the national economy and for promoting Malaysian businesses overseas.
"I want all to throw our weight behind Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and march towards national reconciliation.
"We must put aside our political differences and focus on what we love
most, our country, we must prioritise what matters most, our economy,"
he said when officiating ACCCIM's annual general meeting here today.
Mustapa said Malaysia attracted RM49.3 billion worth of approved
investments in the first quarter of the year and this would not have
been possible without the cooperation of the chamber.
"You have seen the good results. If we work together, we will surely
achieve even greater results, we need to work together to enhance the
economy, to create wealth and high-paying job.
"If all races cooperate with each other, it will bring the country to
new heights. This is why the concept of 1Malaysia will never become
irrelevant. The country can only move forward if we work with each
other," he said.
Mustapa hoped the cooperation would bring more success in terms of economic growth.
"As a minister, my ambition is to see the country's economic outlook getting better.
"ACCCIM and every one of you will continue to be a success with greater achievement in your business.
"At the end of it all, it is my sincere hope that each and every one of
us can work together, to push the economy to greater heights," he said.
