KUALA LUMPUR, June 14 (Bernama) -- A total of 155 programmes, with a
financial commitment of RM18.4 billion, are being implemented this year,
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said Friday.

The programmes are expected to benefit some 465,000 small and medium
enterprises (SMEs), he said in his keynote address at the SME Annual
Showcase (SMIDEX) 2013.
"This is an increase from the 133 programmes implementd last year,
involving about RM7 billion and benefited more than 430,000 SMEs across
all sectors," said Najib. His speech text was read by Minister in the
Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Abdul Wahid Omar.
SMIDEX 2013, Malaysia's largest SME exhibition, has generated more than
RM300 million sales, facilitated by at least 150 business-matching
sessions.
