Giant Superstore Kuala Selangor aims to bring a modern retailing concept where everything the family needs — from fresh food to daily essentials — is available under one roof.
Kuala Selangor District Council (MDKS) president Noraini Roslan was accompanied by GCH Retail general manager (operations hypermarket) Dolf Posthumus, area manager Simon Chong, store manager Lim Chee Hong and complex manager Ezwan Ayop to officiated the store.
The store is expected to serve more than 57,000 households representing 222,336 residents.
The store has a trading space of more than 44,000 sq ft and it will stock a wide range of products — from vegetables to everyday essentials.
To complement the store, the mall will house 28 other tenants, offering a comprehensive range of retail products such as beauty care, boutique wear, mobile and telecommunication products, financial and other services, as well as restaurants.
The mall also offers close to 300 free parking bays for comfortable and quick shopping.
In conjunction with opening day, Giant Superstore Kuala Selangor will also be offering up to 40% discount on over 300 items, including LG 42-inch Full HD LED TV at RM1,299.
Shoppers who spend a minimum of RM60 on their Visa Debit Card are entitled to participate in the Peraduan Riang Raya contest which runs until Aug 14.
The contest is offering 30 Samsung Galaxy S4s for grabs.
