KUALA TERENGGANU, July 18 (Bernama) -- R.B.N.A. Food Enterprise, a
company well known in Terengganu for producing traditional Malay
delicacies, has increased its production to cope with the soaring demand
during the Ramadan fasting month and the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Manager Rokiah Mohamed said her company had received many orders for
bahulus, mini-karipaps, agar-agar kering, apit-apit, popiahs and other
Malay delicacies.
"All praises to God, my business is very good in this Ramadan month.
Many people have made orders for Malay traditional delicacies for Hari
Raya Aidilfitri," she told Bernama.
Rokiah said she could earn about RM800 a day during the fasting month.
Besides Malay delicacies, Rokiah also supplies sweet cakes such as "akak" and "penganang" for Malay weddings.
"I also sell the cakes at the Padang Hiliran Farmers' Market. The
response has been encouraging," said Rokiah, 56, from Kampung Padang
Sena in Sungai Rengas.
Rokiah said she has invested about RM200,000 in her business which she
started in 2001 with assistance from the Agriculture Department.
