KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 13 (Bernama) -- The Malay Businessmen and
Industrialists Association of Malaysia (Perdasama) hopes the Budget 2013
to be tabled on Sept 28 does not neglect the interests of Malay
businessmen and the Bumiputera agenda.
Perdasama Deputy President Datuk Seri Matshah Safuan said the benefits
of economic development should be shared irresepctive of race or
religion.
"We do not need to bring in foreign contractors to implement
development projects in the country considering the many skilled
Bumiputera contractors in this field.
"We see there are government-approved projects stil to be implemented,
so we think if these projects are lumped together in the same group of
projects, we can channel these projects to our members and at the same
time help the government complete the projects," he told reporters after
the 14th Perdasama anuual general meeting here Thursday.
The AGM was officiated by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop.
