KOTA BAHARU, Oct 24 (Bernama) - The federal government has allocated
RM17.49 million for 219 small projects to transform the rural areas in
Kelantan this year.

Kelantan Federal Development Department director, Datuk Makhtar Mustafa
said RM5.71 million was allocated to the Rural and Regional Development
Ministry to implement 40 projects like community centres, small
bridges, rural roads and futsal courts.
The Health Department was allocated RM5.46 million for implementing 22 projects like upgrading of rual health clinics.
Makhtar said the Education Department was allocated RM3.32 million to
implement 56 projects, including building a new surau and upgrading of
suraus.
"The Drainage and Irrigation Department was allocated RM3 million to
implement 101 projects like upgrading ditches," he told reporters after
chairing the department's working committee meeting here Wednesday.
