KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 3 (Bernama) -- The recently unveiled 2013 Budget is
set to benefit all Malaysian small and medium enterprises (SMEs), says
Deputy International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Mukhriz Mahathir.
Mukhriz said the budget is all-encompassing and generous to all
industries, big and small, compared with previous years' allocations.
"That means not only just big companies will benefit from the Budget,
SMEs and those who want to innovate will get equal benefit as well," he
told reporters after launching the "Malaysian Women in Export Directory"
Wednesday.
He said SMEs have been growing at a much faster pace each year compared with the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth.
"The Budget will help local SMEs go global and grow in a competitive business environment," he said.
Mukhriz, the Member of Parliament for Jerlun, said Malaysia has its own
success story in handling a financial crisis, and this needs to be
acknowledged by all parties.
