Sabah Resource Development and Information Technology Assistant Minister Datuk Jainab Ahmad said the seven key thrusts via the NKRAs were proof that the Government was placing emphasis on developing women as key drivers for the nation’s economy.

“The Women, Family and Community Development Ministry have been tasked to improve the standards of living for those from the low-income families as one of the core objectives under the Low-Income Households NKRA,” she said.

Jainab also shared that the 1AZAM programme had different and targeted initiatives to assist women who fall under the extreme poor and poor categories.

These are key tools to assist single mothers and housewives to generate additional income for their families.
