In responding to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak's recent announcement that the programmes, worth RM18.4 bil would benefit some 465,000 SMEs, Heng said that this was further proof that Barisan Nasional was fulfilling its electoral promises.

“Barisan does not take voters for granted. Instead, we deem it as a responsibility to fulfil our manifesto promises,” she said.

She said SMEs were an important part of the nation's economic progress.

She explained that the Government had recognised the role played by the sector by helping them to boost their income.

She urged the SMEs and the private sector to take up the government offer by contacting the International Trade and Industry ministry.

The ministry can be contacted through its email webmiti@miti.gov.my or by calling 03-80008000.
