KOTA KINABALU, July 27 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Handicrafts
Development Corporation's inaugural Aidilfitri crafts promotion at
1Borneo Hypermall, Likas near here has achieved sales of RM40,983 as of
yesterday afternoon, with textiles being popular items.

The corporations's Sabah branch director Mohd Latif Dirun said 40 craft
entrepreneurs are involved in the promotion, which runs from July 25 to
Aug 4 and targets total sales of RM450,000.
"The promotion is a platform created by the corporation to help craft
entrepreneurs sell their craft items direct to the public," he told
reporters here today.
