BUTTERWORTH, July 13 (Bernama) -- Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Bhd
(PUNB) forecasts it will distribute RM200 million in loans this year to
help bumiputra entreprenuers.
PUNB chairman Khairy Jamaluddin said, as of June 30, RM94 million in
loans had been given to 300 bumiputra entreprenuers nationwide.
"This means there is still a large allocation still available for
bumiputra entreprenuers to apply for," he told reporters after the
opening of the PUNB Northern Region office, in Sungai Dua, here, Friday.
The ceremony was officiated by Minister in the Prime Minister's
Department Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop, who is also Tasek Gelugor Member
of Parliament.
The PUNB financing fund is channelled via four schemes namely the Retail
Prosper Scheme, Wholesale Prosper Scheme, Small and Medium
Entreprenuers Scheme and Graduate Prosper Scheme, with financing offers
of between RM5,000 and RM5 million.
