Fujitsu Malaysia is projecting a 26 to 30 per cent revenue growth for the financial year ending March 31, 2013, with substantial contribution from the public sector and multinational business.

Its President Charles Lew said the outlook for FY2012 is expected to be positive in Malaysia despite the softening global economy as the Japan-based technology company would focus on high-margin products and services and branding.

"Through various initiatives, Fujitsu Malaysia is aiming to be the top three information technology (IT) companies in Malaysia from being in the top 10 now," he added during a media briefing today.

Lew said there are new opportunities of growth, such as in the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) business segment which Fujitsu hopes to tap into, with the adoption of cloud computing which provides more competitive costs for lower scale businesses.

"Malaysia is also an attractive destination for multinational companies seeking to expand in outsourcing business," he said.

He said mutlinational companies in the automotive industry are also eyeing Malaysia as a production hub, as they seek to diversify their risk after the Thailand floods last year.

"With these opportunities in Malaysia, we are looking for people in the sales and technical field," he said.
Fujitsu, a member of the global Fujitsu group of companies, employs about 300 people in Malaysia and is known as a leading provider of customer-focused IT and communications solutions.
