KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 14 (Bernama) -- MIC Youth expects 200 young Indian
entrepreneurs to attend the "Ungal Kaiyil (In Your Hands) 2012"
nationwide roadshow to brief them on ways to obtain construction licence
and to register with the Construction Industry Development Board
(CIDB).
MIC Youth chief T. Mohan said the roadshow would be held here, Johor and Penang in November.
"We are working with the Indian Builders' Association Malaysia (IBAM) to
conduct briefings on CIDB registration and the Special Secretariat for
Empowerment of Indian Entrepreneurs will help in the loan application
process for Indian contractors and entrepreneurs," he told a media
briefing today.
Meanwhile, IBAM Deputy President Rajoo Periyasamy said the young
generation should be given guidance and a helping hand to develop their
business skills.
"We at IBAM are dedicated for the progress and well-being of Indian
contractors. Many young Indian entrepreneurs involved mainly in the
construction industry are not aware of the mandatory requirement to
register with the CIDB," he said.
