BUMIPUTERA-OWNED Radix Fried Chicken (RFC) will start a mobile restaurant service in December with the purchasse of a RM400,000 truck.
Chairman
Datuk Ahmad Shafee Sabaruddin said the service will for a start target
the Klang Valley, especially convocations at tertiary institutions,
before expanding to Peninsular Malaysia's northern and east coast
regions.
"We are implementing strategies to serve our customers
more directly besides through our 10 existing restaurants," he told the
media here today after the launch of two new products - Ayam Goreng Hot
Dujaj and Mee Bandung.
RFC, formerly a subsidiary of HPA
Industries Sdn Bhd (HPA), was acquired on Aug 1 by Bumiputera firm Darul
Rahmat Sdn Bhd, which had owned three of RFC's 10 restaurants.
A
new RM1.2 million RFC restaurant is set to open in Sungai Besi, Kuala
Lumpur at the end of October, Ahmad Shafiee said, addding the company is
confident of having 50 restaurants nationwide by 2017.
The new
spicy fried chicken dish features Bhut Jolokia or 'ghost chili', said to
be the world's most pungent chili, which is grown in India's northeast
region and Bangladesh.
Ahmad Shafee said besides Mee Bandung, popular in Johor, RFC will also introduce a new dish every three months. -Bernama
