GUA MUSANG, Sept 10 (Bernama) -- Majlis Amanah Rakyat (Mara) has
allocated RM3 million to provide financial loans to aid small
entrepreneurs in Kelantan.
Mohamad Saufi Deraman, a member of the Mara Council said the amount was
part of a RM50 million non-interest fund from the federal government to
assist targeted groups nationwide in expanding their business.
Speaking to reporters after Mara's engagement programme with Gua
Musang's dynamic small entrepreneurs here today, Mohamad Saufi said he
would appeal to the government to increase the allocation next year as
RM50 million could only provide loans to 6,000 entrepreneurs.
He said Mara also managed funds totaling RM28 million to provide loans
of up to RM100,000 for bigger entrepreneurs or industries, so as to
expand their business globally.
