The assembly Chairman Khairy Jamaluddin said the resolutions were unanimously approved by the more than 3,000 Bumiputera entrepreneurs attending a workshop in conjunction with the gathering at the Sime Darby Convention Centre.

Khairy, who is also Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Bhd (PUNB) Chairman said the first of the six resolutions urges the government to increase fund allocation and provide integrated financing, alongside innovation based on the need to develop an entrepreneurs graduation programme to produce globally competitive individuals.

The second resolution calls on the government to establish a mechanism to make it easier for Bumiputera entrepreneurs to deal with support agencies by reducing bureaucracy and enhancing access, while improving the network of intra-agency cooperation.

"In the third resolution, we are asking that the government extends support to efforts to strengthen the business network, and solidarity within the Bumiputera entrepreneur community and agencies to create a stronger supply network," he said in his speech at the opening of the assembly which was officiated by the Prime Minister.

On the fourth resolution, Khairy said the participants had asked that the government extends business opportunities for Bumiputera entrepreneurs through a more refined acquisition policy, apart from support programmes for marketing at the international level.

"In the final resolution, we are urging the government to improve the support to Bumiputera entrepreneurs in the effort to develop human capital, specifically to assist in the development of business management skills through training opportunities and mentoring programmes," he added.

Khairy then handed over the resolutions to Najib, witnessed by the Minister in the Prime Minister's department, Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop.
