The seminar, which provided both consultancy and training to the
participants, was held at the Kukup Golf and Country Resort in Pontian,
Johor, a statement from DDEC said today.
DDEC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) which
comes under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development.
Chairman of DDEC, Datuk Md Othman Yusof, who is also the State
Assemblyman for Kukup, said the seminar was a follow-up to a series of
entrepreneur trainings held jointly by MARA and DDEC in more than 24
locations in Malaysia to raise the quality of local products so that
they would be able to compete in the markets.
Participants at the seminar also gained exposure on the importance of developing their brands and packaging.
