PASIR PUTEH, March 23 (Bernama) -- Panasonic Malaysia Sdn Bhd is
offering opportunities for more Bumiputera to become dealers for its
electronic products. Deputy Managing Director, Cheng Chee Chung, said priority would be
given to those who have shown excellent performance in sales and
management.

"Those who were selected will be sent to Japan for training in the
business," he told reporters at the opening of a new branch of Syarikat
Kemudi Timur Elektronik Sdn Bhd, here Saturday.
He said to date, the Bumiputera participation as the company's dealers
was very small, representing less than 10 per cent of the 1,000 dealers
nationwide.
He said the company practised "open door" policy and not limited to one
group only, but placed importance on those who have confidence,
capability and determination in business.
Cheng said Syarikat Kemudi Timur was the first Bumiputera company
chosen as a sales dealer in the east cost state as it had shown
excellent performance.
Meanwhile, Kemudi Timur Elektronik Managing Director, Shabki Abdullah
said with the establishment of the branch in Pasir Puteh, the company
now has 15 outlets throughout Kelantan.
