KUWIM Programme Director, Nazir Hussin Akhtar Husin said through this
programme, participants would be given exposure to grab the
opportunities made available by the government via various schemes,
grants and business assistance by related agencies.
The participants would also be given guidance to change their mindset
to become more positive, hence, this can improve their standard of
living, he said during an interview on 'Dalam Radar' programme on
Bernama Radio24 last night.
Nazir Hussin, who is also Umno Youth Young Workers Secretariat
Chairman, said KUWIM can become the best platform especially amongst the
more than three million blue collar workers in the country to create
young entrepreneurs who are competitive for the sake of their future.
KUW1M, which will travel to 10 locations nationwide from March 23,
represents a new government initiative managed by Pertubuhan Kebajikan
dan Rekreasi Richworks Group Sdn Bhd, in cooperation with motivational
expert, Dr Azizan Osman.
According to Nazir Hussin, Prime Minster Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is
expected to launch the programme at the first location, that is, Wisma
PGRM in Kuala Lumpur.
The programme will be continued at other locations later including in Melaka, Kota Baharu, Pahang and Johor.
