KUALA LUMPUR, June 27 (Bernama) -- Entrepreneurs facing difficulties in
getting loans due to their blacklisted status on the Central Credit
Reference Information System (CCRIS) can refer to SME Corp for
assistance, says Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI),
Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed.
He said entrepreneurs who have already settled their loans but are still
on the blacklist of CCRIS and the CTOS Credit Tip-Off Service could
refer to SME Corp.
"We are giving second chance to the entrepreneurs whereby SME Corp will
find a way to help and advice," he told reporters here today at the end
of a networking and business opportunities session jointly organised for
SMEs under a collaborative effort by MITI, Malaysia External Trade
Development Corporation (MATRADE) and Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Bhd
(PUNB).
Mustapa said this when commenting on the issue of the Finance Ministry
requesting Bank Negara to find a way for a more better system for CCRIS
and CTOS, so that help could be given to the SMEs to get loans.
