Its chief executive officer Azmi Razik said the restaurants would offer
menu under the 'simple meal' concept which included different kinds of
burgers, oblong and 'royal murtabak' which have been gaining popularity
in recent times.
"Our hope is to have T Kafe Mr Burger outlets in and outside Terengganu
using the franchise concept for entrepreneurs who are interested in this
business.
"YPU will offer guidance and advisory services with the cooperation of
several financing agencies which will provide the initial capital to
qualified entrepreneurs," he said to Bernama here today.
To date, there is one outlet already in operations in Chendering at an initial cost of RM250,000.
To provide more choices to customers, T Kafe Mr Burger will also feature
special dishes from the state namely 'nasi dagang' and 'keropok lekor'.
Azmi said YPU was committed to expand the T Kafe business to other
states but declined to reveal the number of target outlets as they were
still at the discussion stage.
Commenting on the courses organised by YPU for entrepreneurs in
Terengganu, he said there were several courses offered this month such
as cake and pastry making, seminar on the processing of products
according to halal standards as well as business finance courses.
"The courses are all beneficial to entrepreneurs, and the fees charged
are reasonable...These courses will go on every month until the end of
the year," he said.
