Its president, Datuk Lim Kok Cheong, said the conference also aimed to
encourage greater participation from young entrepreneurs in ACCIM's
activities and programmes.
He said the conference, themed "Create Global Branding Through Youth
Innovation", would be held on June 21 at the Riverside Majestic Hotel in
Sarawak.
Lim said ACCCIM has invited several entrepreneurs in the country to
share their insights in respect of 'branding', as well as their valuable
experience and respective success stories of their brands in the
international market.
"It will help enhance young entrepreneur's brand awareness, learning
how to create corporate brand and creating business value," he said at a
media briefing here today.
He said many entrepreneurs misunderstood that branding was just
advertising, and creating a brand would need an investment of a large
sum of money.
"In fact, this is a misconception. The corporate brand is a symbol of
the product, a guarantee for credibility and quality of the product," he
said.
The conference will be in Mandarin and complemented by English.
