BALIK PULAU, Aug 3 (Bernama) -- The Penang Bumiputera Development Focus
Group targets 41 bumiputera entrepreneurs in the state to become
millionaires in two years' time.

Its chairman, Muhammad Farid Saad said, so far 10 bumiputera
entrepreneurs have reached millionaire status based on their sales which
register in the millions each year.
"So far we have 10 successful individuals. There are 12 people with the
Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama). The figures have
increased and this is through the hard work of these entrepreneurs.
"I feel these 41 entrepreneurs can succeed as they have shown much
determination," he told reporters after launching the Agro-Based
Industry Product Promotion Programme involving Penang bumiputera
entrepreneurs, here Friday.
He said the target can be achieved as the federal government provided
financial aid to increase the income of the entrepreneurs, while the
Focus Group helped to promote entrepreneurs through the electronic media
with RM290,000 allocated to promote four bumiputera entrepreneurs this
year.
Therefore, he urged bumiputera entrepreneurs who have not registered to
do so at any agency so that assistance can be channeled to them.
