Chief executive, Azmi Razik said the plan is to build the centres in all the districts of the state next year, to strengthen the position of entrepreneurs.

"We now have two such centres and the proposal is for three more by year-end," he told reporters after officiating the opening of the T'Kafe Mr Burger here today.

Azmi said each centre is expected to cost more than RM1 million.

"The collection, packaging and marketing centres are among the projects to be implemented by YPU under its five-year plan," he added.

He said for this year, the state government may allocate RM2 million (based on last year's allocation)for YPU's entrepreneur programmes.

On the T'Kafe Mr Buger, Azmi said YPU aims to open at least five more at an estimated cost of RM100,000 in the state for 2013.

YPU has to date opened three T'Kafe Mr Burger facilities and plans to expand the outlet to other places like Kuantan and Kota Baru.-- Bernama
