Its chief executive Husni Salleh said the three firms will join seven Bumiputera firms with total market capitalisation of RM970 million already listed since Teraju's launch on February 2 2011.

"This year, we hope to have three Bumiputera firms listed through Teraju's Skim Jejak Jaya," he told reporters after the launch of Jejak Teraju Iskandar Malaysia at the Persada Johor International Convention Centre here yesterday.

The launch, officiated by Menteri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman, was attended by Iskandar Regional Development Authority chief executive Datuk Ismail Ibrahim.

Husni said Teraju has identified 30 Bumiputera companies for potential listing.

"We will come up with new initiatives to assist them, especially those identified as having good potential under the Teras programme," he said.

Husni said Johor Bumiputera entrepreneurs can get loans from a RM100 million fund out of the RM2 billion facilitation fund allocated by the government for Bumiputera entrepreneurs nationwide.

Three projects by Johor Bumiputera entrepreneurs with a total cost of RM94.3 million and an allocation of RM14.1 million have been approved, he said, adding that out of 300 Bumiputera firms in the Teras scheme, 23 are from the state.

The event also saw the launching of a one-stop centre aimed at boosting the aid and support delivery system for Bumiputera entrepreneurs in Iskandar Malaysia.

Teraju also announced an allocation of RM10 million for a nationwide early education programme as part of its collaboration with Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Bhd. Bernama
